SERENITY

Elmina Bay Resort met our (high) expectations. Being quit a distance from the 'main-road' the hotel offers complete peace and quiet. The view from the hotel is absolutely spectacular. The beautiful pool and the building layouts around it, right on the beach, makes for a premium feel. In general, the hotel is in good condition, clean and sufficiently maintained. The restaurant has a good selection compared to other hotels in Ghana. The fruit included in the breakfast was very fresh and a good addition to the experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming. A small critique would be in regards to the restaurant-staff who were friendly but tended to forget orders and, at times, there would be a long wait for the orders. However; the owner, Ben, is one of the most righteous and pleasant men you’ll ever meet. He will do everything possible to help you with any request and do his best to make the experience meet your expectations. Overall: For Ghanaian hotel-standards, Elmina Bay is to be considered a 5/5-star hotel. Stayed March 2016, traveled with family

PEACEFUL AND RELAXING

This is indeed one of my favorite places in Ghana! Isolated from the rest of the world you can find peace and relax! All rooms are ocean view and with terrace. The size is great and bigger than average! Food is nice and fresh, in the morning we could see the chef buying fresh fruit from local producers! One of my favorite spot in Ghana! I will be back!

IDYLLIC PLACE

Peaceful hotel in Elmina coast. Very relaxing in a quite location. Food is superb and the fresh fruit in the breakfast is a good way to start the day. Located in a long beach, you also have the pool to chill out. Rooms are extra size and have all the facilities. 100% Recommended. Stayed March 2016, traveled on business

SERENITY

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at this relaxing location with breathtaking views. The second-floor room had a spacious balcony overlooking the ocean, and the faint sound of the waves put me to sleep each night. The food was great, and we really appreciated the close vicinity to the castles and Kakum. The rooms were relaxing, spacious and clean. I appreciated the secluded serenity this resort provided, and I enjoyed morning swims in the pool followed by a beach stroll. The endearing staff made the stay feel like home. I highly recommend staying at this unique spot.

BEAUTIFUL AND GREAT SERVICE

This was our favourite hotel in Ghana - near to the towns of Elmina and Cape Coast, but very quiet and secluded. The local food was well-prepared (especially the fish), and there was a decent wine list with reasonable prices. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but the proprieter/manager was exceptional. He anticipated our every need, and was hospitable and charming without being overbearing. All the tours/drivers he recommended were spot on. We still miss this hotel!

NICE BEACH FRONT OASIS

We really enjoyed our stay at Elmina Bay. It was nice to leave the city to relax and listen to the ocean waves, the resort is right on the ocean. Ben, the proprietor and the staff were very helpful, warm and friendly. Loved the fried red snapper. The Ghanian dishes are very good. Great French Fries (Chips) also. Great pool and Nice room accommodations, ask for additional towels. Towels would be softer if dried in an electric dryer. We look forward to a return visit to Elmina Bay Resort.

WONDERFUL PLACE

I had an excellent stay at Elmina Bay Resort. A snafu left me as the only guest on the property--some construction work was to be done the day I was to check out. In that situation, they could have easily taken me for granted as a guest. Instead, the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, my room was large, spotless, comfortable and safe, the food at the restaurant was excellent, and I was treated wonderfully. The owner arranged an affordable driver who was able to take me on a tour of the castles and Kakum Park as well. I look forward to returning to Ghana; when I do, I will come back to Elmina Bay Resort.

FANTASTIC AND RELAXING

After spending some hectic days in Accra, getting to this resort was like landing in paradise. As I arrived the hotel manager updated me to a bigger room (for free) due to the low season; the food was excellent at decent prizes; the pool was big enough for an adult to swim in + is clean; and the staff was very friendly. The beach was beautiful, and the ambiance very quite and relaxing. Only downside is that the beach is not very broad just in front of the resort, but you can easily walk 2-3 minutes if you want some beach time (some parts of it are in need of cleaning up though). The buildings and rooms are very modern. Wifi worked very well (considering that it's Ghana). The manager also arranged for a very good, and cheap private driver for my trip back to Accra airport - it's worth the money if you want to avoid unsafe taxis and packed buses. Warmly recommended!
