Elmina Bay hotel has been developed by husband and
wife team Ben and Suzi Idun who are actively managing things
to ensure great service.
Ben "I didn't realise that the
idea of building a hotel had been in my mind for so long but
friends and family tell me that
I
spoke of it over 20 years ago.
When I look at the beautiful location we have now and the
progress on building and developing Elmina Bay, it makes
me feel
humble
- but we know there's still a
lot more for us to do.
Suzi "These past couple of years in Ghana have taught
me a great many new things, not least to have patience. We have
come a long way from the redundant coconut plantation that we
started with."
Building a hotel from scratch is a daunting prospect but one
relished by the Iduns. They have dealt with positive and
negative experiences and have forged on with their dream.
Although it's been scary to be starting something
that
they know will outlast them!
Why come to Ghana ? The sunshine is bright all year round -
even in the rainy season. The time zone is the same as Europe,
the flights are frequent. Just a few reasons to start with.
